California State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced today that the California Department of Education’s (CDE) “CA Meals for Kids” mobile app has been updated to help students and families find meals during COVID-19-related emergency school closures. You can download this app from App Store or Google Play. It’s called CA Meals for Kids. This app icon looks like with “CA”. When you download the app, you will see the list: After School Meal Sites, Summer Meal Sites and Emergency Meal Sites. Click on Emergency Meal Sites. You will see red clusters on the map. Click the red cluster closer to where you live. It will show you the name of the place, the location of the place, pick up meal date, and what time to pick up the food. It will also show you if there’s breakfast meal only, lunch meal only or both. You can also save it as your favorite location for future reference.
