The City of Riverside held a press conference at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 to unveil 30 emergency shelter cabins that have been acquired to create a new avenue for individuals experiencing homelessness to get off the streets and begin the journey back to self-sufficiency. People experiencing homelessness are expected to move into the cabins within the next two weeks. The village will be operated by CityNet, a team of nonprofit professionals who work to end street-level homelessness through coordination of community efforts, case management, housing navigation, family reunification, and community mobilizations.
