A webinar for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Late-Deafened Community: Eating Disorders and Perspectives, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at 3:30 pm. Register now at https://tinyurl.com/DeafEatingDO

On October 10th, we have a Zoom meeting titled “Deaf Perspectives and Eating Disorders” that will last for one hour. Our program, Innovations, is currently studying the impact of eating disorders in different cultural communities in Riverside County. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share your professional or personal experience, or simply your observations on this topic.

On October 14th, we will be hosting an in-person Town Hall Meeting from 10am to 1pm. We will provide free food and ASL/trilingual interpreters. We would like to hear your input and feedback on what you would like to see in Riverside County for mental health and wellness. Please feel free to invite parents with deaf and hard of hearing children who may be hesitant to attend, and remind them that we have trilingual interpreters available to support communication and bridge any language barriers.

Our next public deaf subcommittee Zoom meeting will take place on November 27th, 2023, from 4pm to 6pm. These meetings are held to create a space for deaf and hard of hearing individuals, as well as hearing allied professionals and community members, to improve wellness, mental health, and access to resources in Riverside. We aim to address our needs and concerns and work towards providing more culturally and linguistically accessible and equitable programs and services.
